Maintenance Technician II

Overview

Performs maintenance and repairs for the company's equipment, machinery, and facility; includes light and heavy equipment work. Follows established procedures and adheres to safety standards.

Responsibilities

* Performs routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

* Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance according to procedures to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.

* Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the facility, including doors, windows, and flooring.

* Provides support to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.

* Trains and mentors new maintenance associates.

* Installs equipment, components, and systems with and without outside services.

* Identifies and reports potential safety hazards. Applies corrective action(s) as necessary.

* Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.

* Inspects tools, parts, and equipment regularly to ensure good working condition, and requests replacements as needed.

* Follows all safety regulations and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

* Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Educational Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.

Experience Requirements

* Three years of maintenance experience.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

* Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.

* Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).

* Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).

* Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).

* May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
