Diesel Mechanic:

Overview

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and the communities we serve.
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior mechanics on project work and review/complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and safety procedures.

• Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (no weekends).
• Typically located in a repair/maintenance shop at the Fond Du Lac, WI hauling site.
• Work involves garage/shop and occasional outdoor conditions; safety and stability of hours are prioritized to support financial security and work‑life balance.

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing.
