The successful candidate will have the knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to perform the essential duties of the following:
* Field Inspections
* Onsite inspections of plumbing work
* Working with Plumbing Contractors
* Working with plumbing contractors on code questions, working with State on code questions; reviewing plumbing plans (the City is a designated plumbing plan review entity for the State); conduct educational sessions on plumbing code issues for plumbing contractors
* Working with the Public
* Answering questions from the public about plumbing issues; general/basic code inquiries
* Administrative Review/Permit/Plan Review
* Review and process plumbing permits, review plumbing plans
* Complaints
* Dealing with complaints from the public or others regarding plumbing concerns
Minimum training and experience required/preferred to perform essential job functions:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; experience/testing through State of Wisconsin as a Plumber Master; certified Inspector UDC HVAC and Inspector Commercial Plumbing (ability to obtain after hire);
Cross Connection Control Tester certification (ability to obtain after hire); and possession of a valid Wisconsin "Class D" Driver's License.

Salary Range:
We offer a competitive compensation package ($34.52 - $40.39/hour) based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities with potential to receive additional step increases based on meeting and/or exceeding goals/expectations; annual COLA and step increases pending City Council approval of budgets; and future promotional opportunities in alignment with succession and career path.
