** Reporting to the
** Electrical Engineering Assistant Manager
** the
** Lead Electrical Test Technician
** is responsible for leading a team of employees in completing electrical testing of manufactured projects. In addition, this role will complete complex electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.
** What a typical day looks like:
*** Oversees the work of assigned team employees.
* Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to the supervisor.
* Assists with the planning and preparation of training for new team members.
* Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.
* Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments
* Partners with supervisor or engineering manager to resolve any issues that arise within department.
* Monitors testing status daily; gathers feedback from all test technicians.
* Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to do testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems
* Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work
* Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems
* Performs testing on various systems including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables.
* Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems
* Perform other related duties as assigned
** The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
*** High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
* At least 4 years of experience in electrical testing or related field
* Relevant experience leading a team.
* Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and single line diagrams.
* Knowledge in testing of three phase AC and DC control circuits.
* Good working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment
* Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes
