Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team in San Bernardino. This role is crucial in facilitating communication between the deaf and hearing communities in various professional settings.

• Provide high-quality ASL interpretation in varied environments such as educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and community programs
• Communicate effectively by interpreting spoken language to ASL and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
• Engage with clients to understand their unique needs and adapt interpretation style accordingly
• Stay current on interpreting techniques and participate in professional development opportunities

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong proficiency in English
• Preferred certification or completion of a formal ASL interpreting program
• Awareness of Deaf culture and community dynamics
• Prior experience in diverse interpreting settings is an asset
