About iDC LogisticsiDC Logistics, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Los Angeles, is an end-to-end third-party logistics provider delivering technology-enabled warehousing, fulfillment, freight forwarding, drayage, transportation, and distribution solutions
. The company supports global brands in retail, consumer electronics, home goods, industrial products, and healthcare supply through a steadfast commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and continuous innovation.
iDC Logistics is seeking an accomplished, growth-minded operations executive to lead our Western US network of warehouse, fulfillment, cross-dock, drayage, transportation, and distribution operations. As Vice President of Operations, Western US, you will have the opportunity to shape regional strategy, deliver exceptional service for leading brands, and build high-performing teams across multiple sites. You will own the regional P&L, safety and compliance, labor and capacity planning, and continuous improvement while partnering with senior leaders across Finance, Business Development, and IT to strengthen margins, launch new business, advance technology and automation, and expand the network.
This is a high-impact role for a hands-on leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced logistics environments and is motivated by the opportunity to influence both operational performance and long-term growth.
- Operations: Lead all Western US warehouse, fulfillment, cross-dock and drayage operations to contracted SLAs for safety, accuracy and on-time performance. Set common site standards and labor models and plan for peak season and port surges.
- Safety and compliance: Own the regional safety program. Keep sites compliant with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT, CTPAT and customer audits.
- P&L: Own the regional P&L, budget and capital plan. Deliver margin and cost-per-unit targets; control labor, overtime, temp and facility costs.
- Customers: Serve as senior operations contact for key accounts and lead QBRs. Partner with Business Development on solution design, pricing and new-business start-ups.
- People: Hire, coach and hold accountable General Managers and site leaders. Build a bench for critical roles and manage workforce planning and temp-agency partners.
- Improvement and technology: Drive Lean and engineered labor standards. Partner with IT on WMS, TMS, labor management and automation; evaluate network and facility expansion with the COO and Finance.
A hands-on operator who knows the numbers behind every building, ties operational choices to margin and retention, builds strong leaders, earns the trust of senior customers, and stays calm through peak and port disruptions
What does success look like in 12 months?- Safety: TRIR down year over year and below industry average.
- Service: Every key account at or above contracted SLA; no renewals lost to operational performance.
- Financial: Regional margin and cost per unit at or better than budget; units per labor hour up 5–10%.
- People and growth: A named successor for each GM; new start-ups live on schedule and at SLA within 90 days.
- 12+ years in warehouse, distribution or 3PL operations, including 5+ years leading multiple sites or a region with full P&L ownership.
- High-volume B2B and retail distribution experience; e-commerce fulfillment a plus.
- Deep knowledge of Southern California logistics: LA/Long Beach ports, drayage, Inland Empire labor markets.
- Strong command of WMS, labor management systems and KPI dashboards, and a record of developing General Managers.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering or business, or equivalent experience.
