Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Material Handler role in Forest Grove, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training or certification provided as needed).
- Ensure materials are delivered to production lines accurately and on time to support efficient operations.
- Perform inventory transactions, including receiving, labeling, and tracking materials to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct visual inspections of materials and report any damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper material placement according to company standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to meet daily operational goals.
- Accurately document material movements and complete required paperwork or system entries.
- Promptly report equipment issues, inventory shortages, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work swing shift, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus, but training may be provided.
- Competitive hourly wage. $20-$22 DOE.
