Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for Entry-Level Welder roles in Forest Grove, OR. Key Responsibilities- Perform basic welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding, under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment to support daily production activities.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to complete assigned projects.
- Inspect welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure proper alignment, strength, and quality standards.
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety protocols.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and accurate inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and resolve fabrication challenges.
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and welding parameters as required.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, material issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding coursework, technical school training, or prior shop experience is preferred but not required
. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to build welding and fabrication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Basic knowledge of welding processes and safety practices is a plus; training will be provided.
- Competitive hourly wage. $21-$23 DOE.
