Receptionist (Temporary Contract - 6 months)
We are looking for a friendly, competent individual to join our existing team. We seek someone who is flexible, adaptable, enjoys working with the public and is committed to providing an excellent, person‑centred service. We have two surgery premises, and the postholder will need to be able to work at both Yorkley Health Centre and Bream Surgery. Cover for absent colleagues is essential (both emergency cover when necessary and for planned absences).
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.
To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi‑disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

This role reports directly to the Reception Manager and will work alongside 4 other team members. We have a strong work ethic and continually strive to maintain our excellent local reputation. Job responsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
