Join Ground Control and help deliver the UK's growing EV charging network.

Ground Control is expanding its EV Infrastructure division and we're looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the safe delivery of on-street electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Dorset and the surrounding region.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll spend the majority of your time on site, supervising engineers and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, to specification and to the highest quality standards. You'll be the day-to-day presence on site, supporting delivery teams, monitoring workmanship and ensuring projects run smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supervising highways, utilities, civils or on-street infrastructure projects who enjoys being out on site and leading teams by example.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise engineers and subcontractors carrying out on-street EV infrastructure works.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Monitor the quality of installations and ensure works are completed to specification.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and identify any quality or safety issues.
  • Lead daily site briefings and maintain a visible presence on site throughout delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to site teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Escalate site issues, delays or risks to the Site Manager where required.
  • Build positive working relationships with engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate site records using company systems including Microsoft Office and Safety Culture.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and report hazards, near misses and improvement opportunities.
What We're Looking For

Someone who enjoys being on site, takes pride in delivering quality work, leads from the front and can confidently supervise engineers working within the public highway.

Essential
  • Experience supervising operational teams on highways, utilities, civils or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety on live construction or public highway sites.
  • Experience managing contractors or field-based engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple live sites.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office.
  • CSCS or Triple STS equivalent site supervision qualification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
  • Experience delivering on-street EV charging or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Street Works and working within the public highway.
  • NRSWA Street Works qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience using Safety Culture or similar digital inspection systems.
What You'll Get
  • Meaningful projects – work on nationally significant EV infrastructure projects that are helping shape the UK's sustainable future.
  • Career development – ongoing training and development to support your professional growth.
  • Progression opportunities – build your career within a rapidly growing business.
  • Supportive culture – join a collaborative team where your contribution is recognised and valued.
  • Company vehicle – provided where applicable to support you in your role.
  • Competitive salary – aligned with your skills, experience and contribution.
  • Pension scheme – helping you plan for the future.
  • Recognition schemes – celebrating and rewarding outstanding performance.
  • Private GP service – fast, convenient access to medical support.
  • Life insurance – providing added peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
  • Subsidised gym membership – supporting your health and wellbeing.
  • Holiday Buy Scheme – purchase up to 5 additional days of annual leave each year.
