We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality mechanical designs and technical documentation that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and all safety and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Take ownership of design packages from concept through to manufacture.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Operations, and wider business teams.
• Act as technical authority for assigned projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential:

• BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Experience in mechanical design within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Creo).
• Knowledge of engineering standards, legislation, and H&S requirements.

Desirable:

• IEng or CEng (or working toward).
• Experience acting as a design or technical authority.
