Shift Pattern: DOUBLE DAYS – Monday to Friday

The Company

A well established and reputable company with turnover in excess of £10m. The business invests in the latest automation and technology, provides a growing range of quality products, and maintains a healthy order book. The company offers extensive training opportunities for engineers, including development programs and health & safety training.

The Role
  • Work as part of a team of engineers responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance and service of all site equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement tasks.
  • Maintain electrical systems including VFDs, three-phase motors, panels with sensors, relays, contractors, inverters, fuses, power supplies, breakers, and switches.
  • Read electrical schematics and fault-find on panels using electrical test equipment such as multimeters.
  • Mechanically service conveyors by replacing worn parts such as rollers, bearings and pulleys.
  • Work on gearboxes, shafts, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as required.
  • Swapping electrical and mechanical components like-for-like with occasional strip and rebuild projects.
  • Utilise CMMS for tablet-based planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive work.
The Person
  • A recognised engineering qualification (ideally electrical).
  • Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (ideally FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Packaging, Utilities).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • PLC experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
