Job Overview

An established manufacturing operation is currently seeking skilled MIG/MAG Welders to support ongoing fabrication and assembly work. This position is ideal for experienced welders who are confident working from engineering drawings and producing consistently high-quality work within a production environment.

• Perform MIG/MAG welding on mild steel components ranging from 1.5mm to 15mm in thickness
• Weld in a variety of positions to specified quality standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Produce components on a right-first-time basis
• Identify and upscale any non‑conformances to the relevant supervisor
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication or be time‑served in a similar role
• Demonstrable experience in MIG/MAG welding across a range of material thicknesses
• Ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is desirable
• Self‑motivated with a proactive and flexible approach to work
• Willingness to learn and undertake a variety of tasks as required
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while meeting customer, quality, and regulatory standards

£13.00 - £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
