Retail Assistant Store Manager - 2052 at First Cash
We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Together with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will be required to commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store; count cash drawers and merchandise; ensure procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentations, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to convey store mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (as required by law).
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week (not guaranteed).
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience; ability to work independently.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
