DNA Examiner

Amentum is currently seeking a DNA Examiner based in Forest Park, GA. This position supports exploitation missions both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) via deployment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or forensic-related area with coursework in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, statistics, and/or population genetics.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a forensic laboratory performing DNA analysis on criminal and/or intelligence materials, including:
• Sampling and testing bodily fluids such as blood, and other items requiring DNA or related analysis.
• Ability to extract DNA using automated platforms.
• Generation of STR DNA profiles.
• Experience with mixture interpretations using probabilistic genotyping software.
• Experience submitting DNA profiles to databases.
• Experience in technical and administrative case file reviews.
• Ability to pass a skills assessment upon hire.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Ability to obtain a US passport.
• Ability to complete and pass a medical assessment per customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ABC Certification.

Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.
