Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Forest Park, GA.

Video/Experienced Tech
- Hourly Pay: $32.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus:
Up to $500 per quarter, four times per year - Sign‑On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Sunday – Thursday - Hours:
Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm - Annual Merit Pay increases every year

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work), basic diagnostics and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
- Three (3) years or more relevant work experience (preferred)
- All other certification as required by location (required)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑duty and medium‑duty equipment
- Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
- Must pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background/motor‑vehicle check
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computers when applicable
- Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Work unsupervised on most tasks
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints once a task is assigned
- Utilize key functions of shop management system and electronic documentation
- Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
- Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Perform other support duties as required, including Service Island support
- Be trained in SBTIII within 180 days; complete two OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses within 365 days
