Mobile Exploitation Analyst

APPOINTMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME REGULAR (FTR-A)

SALARY RANGE: $71,552.00 - $93,038.40

ELIGIBLE FOR SIGN-ON BONUS

This position plans, coordinates and conducts the forensic examination and analysis of digital, electronic and mobile device data to include but not limited to: hard drives, thumb drives, memory cards, and cellular devices.

• Plans, coordinates and conducts the forensic examination and analysis of digital, electronic and mobile device data.
• Assists with the execution of complex digital forensics using specialized technical equipment and software.
• Examines evidence to determine the best strategy for exploitation, consulting with subject matter experts as needed.
• Disassembles components or devices as needed to gain access to digital data.
• Documents examination results/findings in the WEAT database and prepares final written reports.
• Participates in quality control activities including instrument maintenance and calibration.

Associate’s degree preferred with 4-6 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.

• Four (4) years of experience in conducting forensic examinations on digital media.
• Experience with forensics tools such as Cellbrite, EnCase, Axiom, XRY, Forensic Toolkit (FTK), and Xways.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to the Forensics and Intelligence communities.
• Understanding of steganography and encryption detection and analysis.
• Understanding of managing complex large data set analysis.
• Must be able to pass all medical requirements for deployment.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Capability of deep dives into electronic media including cell phones, hard drives, drones, SD cards.
• Certifications in relevant exploitation tools are desired.
