Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
The Raytheon Industry 4.0 – Connected Factory Intelligence & Automation organization has an immediate career‑growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Project Manager to lead automation projects in our Surveillance facilities (McKinney, TX; Forest, MS).
The Project Management Excellence department is responsible for the development and deployment of manufacturing automation & digital solutions to maximize operational efficiency of our factory and program customers. The core responsibilities of this role are to lead cross‑functional teams in development and improvement of automation and infrastructure that supports factory operations – sensors, machine integration, custom software applications, commercial software platforms.
WhatYou Will Do
- Directly manage high‑impact, cross‑functional projects
- Develop and implement strategic project management plans
- Expected to travel up to 20% of the time
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, executives, and development teams.
- Skill in negotiating trade‑offs and priorities between competing demands.
- Decision‑Making:
Making informed decisions under pressure and with limited information. - Financial Management:
Gaining expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Project Management, including the ability to develop SWD project plans in a manufacturing environment, scheduling, manage R&Os, and lead cross‑functional teams to successful project completion.
- Experience developing business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Raytheon Project Management level 6 certification and/or PMP certification.
- Experience managing budgets including EV techniques.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Product management tools (Dev Ops, MS Project).
- Knowledge of transition to production of software products, automation systems or similar.
- Experience with Capital funding.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of Surveillance business sector, established relationships with leaders, and familiarity with product lines, customer base, and manufacturing operations.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information can be found on the U.S. Department of State government website.
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off and holidays. Specific benefits depend on the business unit and any collective‑bargaining agreement.
