Position SummaryThe Full-Time RN on the night shift is responsible for overseeing resident care and coordinating nursing services during overnight hours. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can lead with confidence, maintain detailed documentation, and respond to residents’ needs with skill and compassion.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Care:Provide nursing care including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
Supervision:Lead and supervise aides and LPNs to ensure consistent care delivery
Emergency Response:Act as the primary responder for any overnight medical issues or emergencies
Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely charting in accordance with facility policies
Resident Monitoring:Conduct regular rounds and monitor for changes in resident condition
Collaboration:Communicate with day shift teams and medical providers for continuity of care
Licensure:Current RN license in the state of Mississippi
Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Certifications:BLS required; additional geriatric or long-term care certifications preferred
Experience:Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing
Skills:Excellent clinical judgment, strong leadership, compassionate approach
Environment:Quiet, overnight nursing environment with primary responsibility for resident care
Physical Requirements:Ability to perform clinical procedures and rounds, respond to emergencies
