Mechanical Project Manager

Our client, an excellent large mechanical contractor,is actively seeking to hire a Mechanical Project Manager to run projects within the Greater Washington, DC Metro area (MD, DC & N VA).

Qualified candidates will possess the following minimum requirements:

• Approximately five (5) or more years of project management experience in MEP Construction, Mechanical Contracting, Commercial/Industrial HVAC & Plumbing, Industrial Process Piping or Mechanical construction field.
• Demonstrated success managing larger mechanical construction projects
• HVAC, Mechanical Systems, Process Piping, Industrial Plumbing projects
• BA or BS degree a plus, not required:
  Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or related field
• PMP Certified a plus, not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project Scheduling Tools
• Excellent leadership abilities
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Leading mechanical conversations during project coordination meetings.
• Manage all project control procedures
• Review, formalize, and approve documentation for the successful tracking of projects, including submittals, schedules, schedule of values, billings, requests for information, requests for change orders, change orders, project start-up, close out
• Manage work sequences, long lead items, procurement, and project schedules
