We are looking for an experienced and detail oriented Bookkeeper to join a busy manufacturing business in Forfar. This role will provide essential cover for day to day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, efficient accounts management and compliance with UK accounting standards.

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals and trial balances.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices and payments.
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with UK regulations.
• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and audit preparation.
• Manage financial records using Sage 50 and other accounting software.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with ad hoc tasks.
• Work closely with senior management to support business operations.

• Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance role.
• AAT qualification (or equivalent) or currently studying towards an accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of UK VAT, PAYE and National Insurance processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
