We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting business performance through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing clear insights into business performance.
- Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts, including variance analysis and performance monitoring against financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining business objectives.
- Provide financial guidance and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support effective financial management and reporting.
- Provide support and guidance to finance team members where required.
- Strong financial reporting and management accounting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to analyse financial data and present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience with in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of standard costing and stock control processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly AX or EFACS.
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or progress towards qualification.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are valued but not essential where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
