Retail Assistant – Part Time, Early Starts

Hours:

12 hours across 3 days per week.

Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour.

Pay is dependent on age.

• Ages 16‑20 = £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.81 per hour

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Give fast, friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
• To enjoy being busy as there is always something to do; you’ll jump from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, completing important cleaning and stock‑rotation routines and more
• Reliability – you will be an important part of a small team; colleagues and customers will depend on you to do your best on each shift and not let the team down
• A bit of flexibility with shifts – when other team members are off, you may need to cover slightly different hours; rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work are taken into consideration
