Project Coordinator
Intex Electrical Contractors, Inc. – 11981 Classic Lane, Forney, TX 75126
Salary: 40,000. USD / YEAR
Pay Range: $19.00 to $26.00
Scope of WorkProject Coordinator will work to support and be under the guidance of the Senior Project Coordinator and/or Project Manager. The role involves reviewing contract documents, working with submittals, RFIs, budgets, schedules, cost controls, cost estimates, purchasing, billings, and other project‑management tasks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Develop, publish, issue, and maintain all project‑specific PO's.
- Confirm all fixture, gear, and specialty project procurements are per contract.
- Issue NTP’s, NOI, and PO’s for fixtures, gear and specialty project procurements per the approval of the Director and/or PM.
- Develop, publish, issue, and maintain all submittals (incoming & outgoing & tracking approvals with suppliers & customers).
- Coordinate with Director, Project Manager and/or Superintendent regarding material/equipment releases.
- Coordinate applicable logistics with vendors, manufacturers, and transit.
- Manage all freight claims, damages, returns, and defective materials.
- Develop, publish, issue, & maintain all project closeout documents.
- Prepare and distribute subcontractor work orders, incoming and outgoing after.
- Assist in effective management of labor.
- Assist in effective management of material, equipment, tools, and other resources.
- Assist in disposition of all office‑related paperwork, including monthly contract billings, change orders, financial projections, RFIs, submittals, etc.
- Assist in researching and compiling submittals.
- Understand plans and specifications to identify materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project scopes.
- Assist Senior Project Coordinator with any other tasks as needed.
- Answer phones as required.
- Track engineered products and coordinate with vendors so the current ship schedules are saved.
- Attend hand‑over meetings and weekly L10 meetings; keep minutes updated.
- Work with the Department Manager and/or PM to identify delivery dates for procured items (fixtures, gear, generator, UPS, inverters).
- Maintain current contract drawings and submittals, ensuring documents are saved in the appropriate system.
- Maintain and update assigned projects.
- Maintain stored materials pictures and COI’s for projects requiring backup documents.
- Assist with close‑out activities.
- Must have basic mathematical and English language skills.
- Must have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be flexible to come in early and stay late as customer and project demands dictate.
- Employees must be capable with business software, computers, and office machines.
- Be able to work well in a team.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, in written form.
- Have experience working with contract documents.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in administrative tasks.
- Monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Effectively present information to customers, clients, and others.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach.
- Constantly move throughout the job site.
- Must transition from employee parking or street into construction areas, including all building levels, using O.S.H.A. approved ladders or stairs.
- Possess good vision.
- Possess good hearing.
- Must positively identify various job‑site hazards.
