Environmental Services Technician (Full Time)

Forefront is seeking a Full‑Time Environmental Service Technician to provide daily housekeeping services in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for residents.

• Provide daily housekeeping duties as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules: daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Clean floors (dust mop, wet mop, sweep, vacuum).
• Clean furnishings and fixtures, including restrooms, lights, water fountains.
• Dust and disinfect horizontal surfaces throughout the facility.
• Remove trash and disinfect waste containers.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms in resident rooms and public spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces: corridors, stairwells, elevator, lobby, etc.
• Clean equipment and work areas as assigned by Manager.
• Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Attend in‑service educational programs.
• Follow safety codes during all duties.
• Understand fire and disaster plans; follow procedures during drills and emergencies.
• Perform other duties assigned by Housekeeping/EVS or designee.

• High School or GED required.
• Strong customer service orientation.

• Understanding of resident rights.
• General knowledge of HSKG/EVS skills.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year housekeeping experience in a health‑care setting.
• General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Motor coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and assignments.
• Patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.

This position requires lifting up to 40 lbs. It involves frequent movement throughout the facility, exposure to odors, falls, burns, infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids.

Stands and walks continuously; reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, carries, and works with cleaning supplies. Must be free from infection or diseases.

Hourly position. Expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends and holidays. Flexible availability required.
