Mental Health Technician / Direct Support Professional

Located at Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City, Arkansas, immediate opening for a Mental Health Technician/Youth Care Worker. Entry‑level position stepping into psychology/behavioral health.

• Care for patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
• Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior.
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to patients.
• Orient patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
• Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. Preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military.
• Schedule: Full‑time rotation: 4 days on/2 days off. Hours available:
  Days: 7:00 am‑3:00 pm, Evening: 3:00 pm‑11:00 pm, Overnight: 11:00 pm‑7:00 am.
• Physical: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull to perform restraints.
• Minimum age: 21 years.
