A Refrigeration Lead person assists with the maintenance of the plant’s equipment, including preventive maintenance on machinery along with a variety of other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Successful candidate will assist department supervisor and facilities manager with special projects and overall direction of the department.

• Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by the department lead/supervisor.
• Opens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.
• Observes temperature, pressure and ampere readings for system and equipment and adjusts controls or overrides automatic controls to obtain specified operation of equipment.
• Repacks pumps and compressors, cleans condensers, and replaces worn or defective parts.
• Must work as a team player, ensuring product specifications are attained and in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicates well with other team members.
• Assists other departments as assigned by lead, supervisor or manager.
• Must follow Company’s GMPs, SOPs, plant rules, other policies and codes of conduct.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Strives to satisfy the requirements of both internal and external customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Employee is required to work in a cold, damp environment.
• Must have basic oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds (with assistance when required).
