Fort Health Care is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties, and we are seeking an Assistant Daycare Teacher to join our Kids Konnection team.

Shift:
Part time
48 hours bi-weekly

The Assistant Day Care Teacher assists in the planning, implementation and supervision of developmentally appropriate early childhood programs which meet the individual physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of infant/toddler, preschool and/or school age children.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assists in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Works in a collaborative partnership with families.
  • Available and appropriately responsive to all children.
  • Follows the prepared balance daily schedule.
  • Creates an atmosphere that looks, sounds and feels friendly, pleasant and inviting.
  • Keeps classroom/daycare safe, neat and clean.
  • Assists in record keeping.
  • Completes continuing education annually, per state requirements.

Requirements of this position include:

  • State approved early childhood assistant teacher course. Infant/toddler course required.
  • 2 or 4 year childhood degree preferred.
  • Experience with groups of children preferred.
  • AHA Heartsaver First Aid / CPR with AED;
    Mandated Reporter;
    Abusive Head Trauma Prevention Training required.

Qualifications Education
Required

GED or better in GED.

High School or better in High School Diploma.
