Position SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiology Imaging Associate - Per Diem Variable 7.5 hour shifts; rotating schedule/weekends - MRI.
Responsibilities- Patient Care:
Observe patients while in radiology; inform technologist, nurse or PA when a patient appears to need assistance; transport patients to and from the radiology area; notify appropriate unit staff when the patient is going to radiology; check with the patient’s nurse regarding any special transport instructions (e.g., oxygen, cardiac monitor); disconnect medical equipment attached to the patient as required; verify that the exam is ordered;
verify patient armband and confirm patient identity by asking the patient for their full name; bring the patient’s chart to radiology; assist other personnel with patient movement; practice safe transport techniques; utilize wheelchairs, stretchers or beds; deliver oral contrast to nursing units. - Technical Functions:
Call nursing units to confirm patient pickup times and pertinent information; use computer systems to obtain patient/record information and exam tracking; help maintain readiness of the procedure room; transport mobile equipment as needed; communicate any situation affecting patient care to supervisor or designee. - Clerical Functions:
Perform clerical duties as needed in support roles.
To qualify you must have:
- Ability to read and write
- High School Graduate
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians and hospital personnel
- Ability to stand and walk for up to ninety percent of work time and to lift and assist patients
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is $25.30 - $28.08 hourly to comply with New York state law on salary transparency. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
