Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Part Time - Flexible Scheduling

Responsibilities
  • Calculates, measures and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed, following the physician’s orders and using computer systems.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients to detect diseases using radioisotope equipment under the direction of the physician.
  • Stores and disposes of radioactive materials and radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
  • Processes cardiac function studies using the workstation and sends appropriate images to PACS.
  • Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients’ bodies using a camera to produce images for interpretation.
  • Performs accurate data entry into the PACS system and other electronic records.
  • Maintains knowledge of the scheduling process within the HIS system.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine; 2-5 years preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
  • NMTCB certification
