Venturi, LLC – A Chenega Company has a challenging career opportunity for a Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) Principal Systems Engineer who will engage in C3BM systems engineering efforts. This individual will perform technical work vital to the success of the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance for C2
BMC, MDS Elements, and external capability integration and interface design efforts between MDA/BC, BC contractors, and MDS Elements.Participate in C2
BMC software engineering reviews and analyses for developing C2
BMC Spiral products.Participate in technical baseline efforts to develop specifications and interfaces for current and future C3BM spirals.
Support critical integration and interoperability product evaluations based on future product integration into MDA/BC spiral builds through interface, requirements, and C2
BMC product definitions.Participate in C2BM and BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA) Agile review processes.
Participate in MDA ground test planning and objectives development.
Provide evolving C3BM architecture analysis and expertise in OPIR capability.
Support M&S development involving C2
BMC, sensors, and space assets.Participate in evaluations of C3BM increments and initiatives; coordinate IV&V activities for all C2
BMC and OPIR.Offer expertise in Modeling and Simulation.
Provide expertise in threat modeling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience.
Active Secret clearance.
Experience with MDA/DoD systems engineering life cycle.
Familiarity with Agile Software Development processes and product development timelines.
Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts or MDA sensors.
Ability to work independently within a dynamic environment.
Ability to apply network engineering and solutions to support real‑world tests, integration, and operations.
Military experience is a plus.
Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub‑contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in a badge‑less contractor environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Self‑starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems.
In‑depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge.
Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission.
Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures.
Ability to work in a high‑paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership.
Proficient with Microsoft software applications.
Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision.
Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
