Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, has a challenging career opportunity for a Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) Principal Systems Engineer who will engage in C3BM systems engineering efforts, including C2
BMC technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs. This role supports the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract.
- Provide interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance for C2
BMC, MDS Elements, and external capability integration and interface design between MDA/BC, BC contractors, and MDS Elements. - Participate in C2
BMC software engineering reviews and analyses for developing C2
BMC Spiral products. - Contribute to technical baseline efforts to develop specifications and interfaces for current and future C3BM spirals.
- Support integration and interoperability product evaluations based on future product integration into MDA/BC spiral builds through interface, requirements, and C2
BMC product definitions. - Participate in C2BM and BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA) Agile review processes.
- Participate in MDA ground test planning and objectives development.
- Provide evolving C3BM architecture analysis and expertise in OPIR capability.
- Support Modeling & Simulation development involving C2
BMC, sensors, and space assets. - Participate in evaluations of C3BM increments and initiatives; coordinate IV&V activities for all C2
BMC and OPIR. - Offer expertise in Modeling and Simulation.
- Provide expertise in threat modeling.
- Provide interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance for C2
BMC, MDS Elements, and external capability. - Participate in technical baseline efforts to develop specifications and interfaces for current and future C3BM spirals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- Master’s degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Experience with MDA/DoD systems engineering life cycle
- Familiarity with Agile software development processes and product development timelines
- Experience with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts or MDA sensors
- Ability to work independently within a dynamic environment
- Ability to apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world tests, integration, and operations
Desired Skills
- Military experience is a plus
- Ability to work within a collaborative environment with Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently, as a team member, or as a lead on teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve problems
- In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge
- Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission
- Familiarity with DoD and MDA processes and procedures
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership
- Proficient with Microsoft software applications
- Ability to execute and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
