Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Provides Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support for a large customer within the DoD community, assisting in deployment and maintenance of SharePoint 2019 architectures.
  • Assist with SharePoint farm upgrades and deployments.
  • Experience and knowledge with SharePoint Online administration.
  • Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory (including ADFS, DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Windows Firewall, Event Viewer, Performance Monitoring) and Power Shell scripting.
  • Configure and maintain SharePoint Enterprise search, index configurations, and scheduling.
  • Support Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environment.
  • Provide critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting, including site problems, site permission issues, creation and configuration of sites and sub-sites, and definition of site resources.
  • Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off‑peak times; communicate downtime to business.
  • Perform data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean‑ups and archiving data.
  • Review usage and activity reports and adjust systems to ensure optimized user experiences.
  • Apply Information Assurance practices and principles (e.g., STIGs).
  • Provide or coordinate security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation‑risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of methods, procedures, and systems to improve the processing and flow of information within the organization.
  • Develop workflows, automations and other Power Apps to improve project delivery and artifact management.
  • Enable knowledge flow to enhance shared understanding, learning and decision‑making for critical mission programs.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to a project or several projects dealing with area of technical expertise.
  • Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to ensure problems are properly defined and solutions satisfy customer needs.
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects; consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
  • Perform functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports and other major documents for senior‑level client personnel.
  • Identify emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
  • Write and update project documentation, including system procedures, presentations and training materials.
  • Serve as technical team or task lead.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Education:

    High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Knowledge/experience of Army command structures and ability to integrate knowledge into SharePoint infrastructure for leadership and user consumption.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
    • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively with attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
