Cyber operations Readiness Assessment Network Engineer​/Reviewer

Overview

We are seeking a Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment Network Engineer/Reviewer to join Tek Synap, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Fort Belvoir, VA. Tek Synap is a fast-growing high-tech company that emphasizes a comprehensive information management environment and the principle of applying technology to meet government needs.

• Perform technical reviews of firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP/VVoIP systems in accordance with STIGs and SRGs.
• Validate network segmentation, ACLs, and routing protocols for security compliance.
• Assess Zero Trust architecture components and ensure proper enforcement of least privilege and micro-segmentation.
• Analyze network logs and configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Provide technical support to DTRA sites for STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and ATO package preparation.
• Develop comprehensive assessment reports and provide prioritized recommendations for remediation.

• Clearance:
  Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Education:
  
  BS in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  
  8–10 years in network engineering or cybersecurity.
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  DoD 8140/8570 IAT III (CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
• Desired
  
  Certifications:
  
  Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper JNCIP, Zero Trust Architecture Certification.
