Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support a company focused on delivering end-to-end enterprise IT infrastructure services in a secure government environment. This position is on-site voir. The Data Center Operations Technician will support critical data center operations through hardware installations, cabling, troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance.
Responsibilities for the Data Center Operations Technician include:- Rack, stack, cable, and decommission servers, storage devices, and network hardware within a secure data center environment.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, connectivity checks, and basic incident response while escalating complex issues to senior technicians.
- Assist with equipment refreshes, upgrades, inventory management, and asset tracking efforts.
- Label, organize, and manage cabling in accordance with data center standards and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow SOPs and change management processes, and support day-to-day data center operations.
- 1-2+ years of experience in IT support, hardware support, desktop support, data center operations, or a related technical environment.
- Hands-on experience installing hardware, replacing components, performing cabling and recabling, and supporting basic networking functions.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, troubleshooting abilities, and clear written and verbal communication.
- High School Diploma required.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance required.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
