Unified Business Technologies Inc is seeking a Data Analyst / Data Engineer & Reporting Specialist to support enterprise data management, analytics, visualization, and reporting for Army mission and operational decision-making. This onsite role in Fort Belvoir, VA helps strengthen data pipelines, improve data quality and metadata governance, and deliver clear dashboards and analytical reports that teams can trust.
What you’ll do- Organize and align enterprise data to support Army analytical and mission requirements.
- Design and maintain data relationships, models, schemas, and supporting metadata.
- Develop and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines, including workflows for extraction, transformation, integration, and delivery.
- Optimize data flows across cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and operational databases.
- Conduct data quality assessments, resolve data inconsistencies, and validate reporting accuracy.
- Maintain metadata catalogs, data definitions, and data governance documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify analytical requirements and improve data accessibility.
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical products to improve clarity and usability.
- Ensure reporting outputs comply with approved security, governance, and access control requirements.
- Prepare user training materials, reporting documentation, and data usage guidance.
- Support ongoing improvements to analytics products as mission requirements evolve.
- Approximately 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or reporting.
- Experience developing ETL or ELT workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases or cloud-hosted datasets.
- Experience using a reporting or data visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau
. - Familiarity with Python or comparable data processing technologies.
- Understanding of enterprise data modeling, metadata management, and data quality practices.
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems.
- Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into meaningful analytical reports and visualizations.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
, AWS Glue
, Databricks
, or similar platforms. - Experience with Power BI features such as DAX and Power Query
, or comparable enterprise reporting solutions. - Familiarity with government data governance and access controls.
- Experience building dashboards for senior leadership or operational stakeholders.
- Previous experience supporting military or federal data environments.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or comparable certification.
T-3 is required under the PWS.
