About the Position
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Intelligence and Security Command, ACofS, G4.
Duties- Lead the facilities division overseeing planning, design, repair, and sustainment of secure operational buildings and specialized intelligence facilities
- Manage facility programs including construction, maintenance, project prioritization, design review, and long‑range planning to ensure buildings support mission and operational requirements.
- Supervise engineering staff; assign work, set performance expectations, review technical output, approve leave, support employee development, and oversee personnel actions
- Coordinate with installation leadership, government engineering organizations, mission partners, and contractors to address facility issues, review requirements, support project execution, and ensure compliance.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600‑85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, the individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.
