First Baptist Church Blossom Pastor
First Baptist Church Blossom is seeking an experienced Pastor to provide spiritual guidance, teaching, feeding, leading and nurturing the members to grow as Disciples of Christ, and to reach out and serve the community with the gospel and Christ’s love.
Qualifications- The Office of Pastor is restricted to men and must meet the qualifications set forth in the Holy Scriptures (1 Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:5-9)
- Proven leadership ability and motivational skills
- Passion for sharing Christ, discipleship, faithful and consistent in prayer
- Effective communicator of God’s Word and the ministry and purpose of the church
- Proven love for the church with a caring encouraging heart and a listening ear for members and attendees
- Able to equip the members for works of service
- Have a listening ear and a loving heart towards the community and the lost
- The pastor is responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament church. The pastor will lead the congregation, the organizations, and the church staff to perform their ministries or tasks
- The pastor will preach and teach biblical messages which inspire, motivate, equip, and nurture the members of the church to grow as disciples/followers of Christ and serve the church and community
- He will be available, whenever possible, to minister to the needs of the members of the church during times of crisis
- He shall conduct/coordinate wedding ceremonies and funerals
- He shall work closely with the Deacons, Church Council and staff for their training and performance in their work of proclamation, ministry, caring and building up of the fellowship
- He will coordinate/lead the Contact and Visitation Ministry to members and the community
- He shall make arrangements for all pulpit supply preachers while he is away from the church
- The pastor will schedule all services and ordinances and serve as or assign a moderator for all business meetings
- He will cooperate with local and state Baptist associations in matters of mutual interests and concerns
- He shall be, ex officio, a member of all committees with voting entitlement only in cases of tie votes within the committee

Spout Springs Church Executive PastorSummary: Spout Springs Church (SSC) is a small to medium sized church located in Cameron, NC, and is home to a large percentage of current and former military families due to its proximity to the Fort Bragg US Army base. Founded in April 2006, the church is staff-led and elder protected with the Lead Pastor being accountable to the elder board.
We are also a part of the Southern Baptist denomination. The church focuses on four activities for the congregation to participate in to grow spiritually:
Encounter God, Pursue your Mission, Invest and Invite, Connect to Equip.
- Strategic Planning – Envision a desired outcome, and guide the team through a planning process, building and/or monitoring a system that informs their next steps to achieve the intended results.
- Develop Leaders – Identify leadership potential in others and apprentice them through character competencies needed to lead others well.
- Teaching – Explains the truths of God’s Word and apply them effectively so that those taught understand and learn.
- Collaboration – Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with a group of people – from various ministries – to accomplish a specific result.
- Emotional Intelligence – Manage emotions, words and behaviors in a way that honors God and strengthens the overall health of the team.
