The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
13-Week Contract | 4x10s (40 hrs/week)

Job SummaryThe CAT Scan Technologist operates CT equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and soft tissue for diagnostic evaluation. This role also performs a variety of imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy. The technologist ensures patient safety, accurate imaging, and adheres to all regulatory and facility standards.
Job RequirementsEducation & Experience- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Registered ARRT Technologist:
- R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) — Required
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) — Required
- ARRT-CT or ARRT-R — Required
- BLS (American Heart Association) — Required
- CT Advanced Certification — Preferred in CA
- Fluoroscopy License — Preferred in CA
- IV/Venipuncture Certification — Required
- Perform CT imaging and general radiographic procedures for patients ranging from adolescent through geriatric.
- Generate sagittal and coronal reformatted images for diagnostic interpretation.
- Utilize PACS and teleradiology systems for accurate image transfer and documentation.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, files, and billing data while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and supply management.
- Ensure safety and comfort of patients throughout imaging procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
