Located where miles of breathtaking ocean views meet dense coastal forests, Mendocino County has a rich history serving community members on the coast since 1971. We are comprised of a 25-bed critical access hospital and offer a range of services in Fort Bragg. The Mendocino Coast offers a small-town atmosphere and is known for its natural beauty, from the smallest to the tallest redwoods in the world, to glass bottom beaches and the only oceanfront botanical gardens in the United States.

With whale watching, fishing, hiking trails and many more outdoor adventures readily available, this coastal region is a place to immerse yourself in its landscape and history.

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.

Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

Education and

Work Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN):

Acute care facility experience:

Licenses/Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice:
Required

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:

Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.

Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.

Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.

Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.

Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.

Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients having experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions. This unit supports a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive patients.
