Our work depends on Dev Ops Engineer joining our team to support USSOCOM at Fort Liberty, NC.
- As a Dev Ops Cloud Engineer; you will be responsible for distributed and managed services, automating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services.
- You will manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency and guide and manage software releases for new features and support users through consolidation.
- Occasionally performs the administrative operation of server hardware and software.
- Ensures system security and executes practices and procedures. Troubleshoots system related problems.
- Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.
- Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.
- Required Skills
- 5 years of IT and/or software experience.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Participated in or led agile development teams
- In depth understanding of Dev Ops methodologies
- Worked with Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, Team City or other Continuous Integration tools
- Experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi / NSX-T
- Experience with networking and related technologies (e.g. load balancing / DNS / SSL / firewalls / NAT / SDN)
- Experienced in using Git
- Experience in release management
- Experience supporting production systems using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities
- Excellent communication and briefing skills; tact; effective listening skills and follow through
- Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment
- Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
- Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience
- Experience in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Open Stack
- Experience with Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, BOSH, or related automation / orchestration tools
- Experience with a platform as a service product such as Cloud Foundry, Heroku, Elastic Beanstalk, or similar
- Experience working with DNS, NTP, SAML, OAuth 2, Active Directory
- Understanding of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics (Prometheus, New Relic, App Dynamics, Cacti, Graphite, ELK, Nagios, Ganglia, Splunk, Log Insight, Realize Operations, Datadog, etc.)
- Background in Windows deployment, automation, and related technologies
- Experience with database (e.g. MySQL, Postgre
SQL, Oracle, MSSQL) and messaging middleware technologies (e.g. Rabbit
MQ)
- Active Top Secret clearance required to start and must be able to obtain TS/SCI

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
