Position: Data Scientist II
Location: Fort Bragg, NC
Work Environment: Onsite
Clearance Required: Secret
Status: Funded

Knowesis is seeking a Data Scientist II to support the USSOCOM POTFF program at Fort Bragg, NC. The role involves analyzing data to improve the well-being of SOF warriors and their families. Applicants must have a Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced data analytics, manipulation, mining, exploratory, predictive, and statistical analysis, creating visual and narrative reports.
  • Enter and analyze data within government systems.
  • Maintain dashboards to automate data analysis and identify trends related to POTFF programs.
  • Assist with survey design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide consultation to identify data capture opportunities for POTFF initiatives.
  • Collaborate with program staff and biostatisticians.
  • Offer expertise in program evaluation, research methodologies, and data analysis.
  • Use statistical and visualization tools to produce reports and presentations that support the mission.
    • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
    • Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, Python, R-Shiny.
    • At least 3 years of research experience in relevant settings.
    • Fluent in English communication.
    • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Constructive interpersonal skills and social sensitivity.
    • Demonstrated proficiency through research publications.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Doctoral degree in a related discipline.
    • Experience with Human Performance.
    • Experience with Special Operations, military, or athletics settings.
    • Technical skills in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), SQL, business analytics, predictive modeling, and dashboard development.
