Intelligence Specialist; Operations

Position Overview

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. The role serves a vital function within the Army mission, providing specialized skills that support military operations and contribute to a Total Army workforce.

• Ensuring appropriate technical control, mission management, and oversight are conducted in accordance with standard procedures, regulations, directives, and laws.
• Recommending appropriate courses of action for approval of counterintelligence (CI) activities.
• Analyzing intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications.
• Providing products used to defend positions effectively within the intelligence, planning, and operational communities.
