GDIT’s Military Health Team is hiring a Clinical Research Assistant to support clinical investigations for the TBI Center of Excellence (TBICoE) located erty in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As the TBI Pathway of Care manager within the MHS, the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence promotes state‑of‑the‑art care from point‑of‑injury to reintegration for service members, veterans, and their families to prevent and mitigate consequences of mild to severe TBI.
HOWYOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Recruit, screen, and consent research participants.
- Perform data collection, organization, and entry for clinical investigation projects.
- Execute data collection and entry quality checks and quality assurance.
- Maintain study‑related documents and supplies; secure, organize, and document following all federal/state regulations.
- Create, collect, disseminate, maintain appropriate files of study data, and assist with review and completion of study manuals and SOPs.
- Schedule potential research participants for testing or evaluation.
- Complete protocol‑specific testing and evaluation requirements.
- Facilitate follow‑up assessment reminders and scheduling.
- Extract data from patient medical records; transcribe and resolve data queries in case report forms (hardcopy or electronic); prepare documents under direction of project leaders; report statistical analyses and descriptive data from patients’ study books to be used in research/clinical investigations/studies reports.
- Maintain awareness and compliance of research regulatory issues.
- Provide written and verbal updates to senior staff.
- Communicate regularly with study team, under direction of project leaders, via email and conference calling as needed.
- May assist with TBI program/project improvement initiatives at the site.
- Assist with literature searches and/or obtaining and collating materials for reports, manuscripts, and meetings.
- Other duties consistent with the above responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 1+ year of experience in research/clinical investigations/studies required.
- Human Subjects training required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to pass a T3 security investigation.
- Prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care strongly preferred.
- Experience using psychometric and neuropsychometric assessment tools, data scoring and entry.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions required.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
- Adhere to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.98 – $26.77. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements, and could fall outside of this range.
