TITLE: Early Learning Teacher’s Assistant

PAY: $10‑11 an hour
PurposeThe teacher’s assistant is responsible for maintaining a warm, healthy environment to promote the total growth and well‑being of the children in the early education program. The teacher assistant shares with the teacher the responsibility of nurturing each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. The teacher’s assistant collaborates with the teacher as a team member in the daily operation of the classroom by maintaining quality early‑childhood education and care for all participants and ensuring compliance with state regulations and DOD standards.
Functionsand Duties Program and Services Management
hiring is on a 6‑month trial basis; performance will be re‑evaluated afterward.
Mission Advancement: The incumbent demonstrates satisfactory performance when staff consistently achieve high quality, maintain facility care, sustain program variety, keep finances on track, meet committee deadlines, and present a positive image that supports member growth and retention
Dependent.
Collaboration: Develop strategies that ensure staff reflect the community, build and nurture strategic relationships to enhance support for the ASYMCA, and provide tools and resources for the development of others.
Operational Effectiveness: Integrate multiple thinking processes to make decisions, involve members and community in program development, ensure plan execution, and maintain sound accounting and financial controls, assigning clear accountability and continuous improvement.
Personal Growth: Foster a learning environment that embraces diverse abilities, create urgency and positive tension to support change, anticipate potential hindrances, and maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and best practices.
