Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
Open & closing dates: 10/24/2025 to 11/10/2025. Salary: $20.22 to – $23.58 per hour. The incumbent will begin work at the lowest rate of pay advertised, unless previous NAF experience warrants a higher rate.
OverviewThe position is located at Hooper Bowling Center – Fort Campbell, KY. This is a “Flexible” position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.
Duties- Work under general supervision of the bowling facility manager. Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies.
- Adjust equipment in accordance with guidance provided and identify potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer. Assist the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties.
- Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; making minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, buffers, etc.; scrubbing, washing and polishing floors, walls and other surfaces.
- Skilled in the use of electrical test equipment and tools. Working knowledge of manufacturer’s diagrams, specifications and schematics.
- Assist with stocking, inventory, and related duties in the bowling facility. Recognize and report malfunctions. Perform routine duties without directions.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Complete pre‑employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.
2. - May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally‑controlled facilities.
- Must work a rotating shift schedule: weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, nights and holidays.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical is required.
- Physical effort: lift/carry items up to 40 lbs; move items up to 100 lbs; work in awkward positions.
- Work indoors; area usually noisy; protective clothing may be required.
