As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing transactions, and anticipating guest needs to ensure a friction‑free stay.
Responsibilities- Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
- Take and manage guest bookings, up‑selling opportunities, and provide information on ways to improve their stay.
- Handle cash and credit transactions.
- Swiftly check guests in and out – take IDs, hand out room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
- Record and act on guest preferences, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Serve as a trusted contact for guests, including handling bill issues and providing local knowledge; involve management when necessary.
- Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear required protective gear.
- Maintain a professional appearance as a brand ambassador.
- Stay informed on daily events and activities.
- Assist with ad‑hoc duties when colleagues need support.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a bonus.
- At least one year of experience in a front‑desk or guest‑service position.
- Fluency in the local language; additional language skills are valued.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic math, reading, writing, and computer literacy.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform bending and kneeling tasks.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Hourly pay range: $15.16 to $25.00.
