Position Title: NMAC System Administrator

Location: Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado

Shift: Shift work may be required

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

The NMAC System Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will work onsite at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems in stressful situations.
• Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.
• Optimize, fine‑tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
• Create Incident Reports on system issues and perform system data collection.
• Perform and provide server, workstation, and application expertise to government, civilian, and contractor users.
• Provide support to other work centers and the test community.
• Travel to off‑site locations with the supported community users.
• Escort and provide support to engineers and maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers.
• Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations; must be available on any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on‑site for extended periods during emergencies and drills.

• Must have a Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
• Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Security+).
• 4 years or more of general work experience.
• 1.5 years or more of direct work experience.
• Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux;
  Microsoft Windows operating systems; VMWare and system virtualization; and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Red‑Hat or Linux experience/knowledge.
• Understanding of virtual machine and Remote Desktop.
• Windows System Administration experience or background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital.

• Associate of Science Degree in a computer field.
• Virtual Machine Certifications.
• Cyber and Space Operations experience.
• Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols.
• Remedy trouble ticket experience.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually (depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position).
