CMAC Systems Administrator - NISSC - CMSFS

Position Title: CMAC System Administrator

Location: Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado

Relocation Assistance: None available

Remote/Telework: Not available

Clearance Type: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

Shift: Shift work required (Mid Shift:  hrs)

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Overview

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Key Responsibilities
  • Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Configuring, optimizing, fine‑tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
  • Performing system backups, recovery, and server builds.
  • Providing systems administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
  • Managing file servers and network access, including analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of system anomalies.
  • Providing server, workstation, and system expertise, including on‑site and off‑site travel.
  • Coordinating and scheduling system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Providing guidance, direction, and training to others in the group and serving as backup to other computer systems administrators.
  • Ordering replacement of new hardware and software, including warranty claims.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
  • Active TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+).
  • Minimum 5 years of general work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments;
    Microsoft Windows operating systems; VMware and system virtualization; and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience with Red‑hat or Linux.
  • Understanding of virtual machine and Remote Desktop.
  • Windows System Administration experience or background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital.
Desired Requirements
  • Associate of Science Degree in a computer field.
  • Virtual Machine Certifications.
  • Cyber and Space Operations experience.
  • Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols.
  • Remedy trouble ticket experience.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
