Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician Extenders NP/PA (Family Medicine) to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our U.S. military and their families at Evans Army Community Hospital located at Fort Carson, CO
.
- Employment Status:
Full‑time - Compensation:
Hourly, paid bi‑weekly - Schedule:
Mon‑Fri, 07:30–16:30 (subject to change; may include nights, weekends, or home call). Contract employees shall work no more than 40 hours per week without prior authorization. - Benefits:

- Degree:
Master’s degree in nursing. - Education:
Graduate of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE. - Certification:
Nurse Practitioner certification by ANCC, AANP, or a recognized specialty body. - Experience:
Meeting clinical competency requirements as specified in Service‑specific credentialing instructions. - Licensure:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license.
- Provide full range of outcome‑based nurse practitioner services: supervise and provide general screening and medical care for routine, acute, and chronic conditions; administer immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients.
- Technically direct and teach staff, provide evidence‑based educational lectures, and participate in in‑service training.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols and guidelines.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance via annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self‑care education.
- Communicate and collaborate with diverse team members to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions and to educate patients/families.
- Recognize isolation conditions and ensure universal precautions are used.
- Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, and quality improvement/safety.
